Splitting Cards
When a person is playing blackjack, they’ll soon find out that there are a lot of great ways to play the game, making a seemingly straightforward game so much more exciting. At first it may seem a little confusing, as it has for a number of people, but with enough practice, it becomes quite simple. Of all of the different ways for a person to play the game, they’ll eventually come to the decision that splitting is something that a lot of people have found to be especially fun. Splitting is when a person is dealt two cards of the same value. By doubling their bet, they can choose to play both of these cards separately, increasing their odds.
Splitting cards can be really profitable for a person, as long as they know what they should and what they shouldn’t split. Most people agree that it’s not advisable to split either a 10 or 5. Also, that would mean that splitting face cards shouldn’t be used, either. Split 7 or 8 when up against a dealer’s card at the same or lesser value. Also, split a possible 2 or 3 against the dealer’s three cards higher than those. Lastly, if a person gets 2 Aces, it’s advisable that they split both of them and hope for face cards or tens to finish it out.
Splitting can be a very valuable tool for the person looking to win some big money at the blackjack table, and can really help a person stay alive when they would have otherwise busted.
